After many years of research and development, Ultraseal International Inc. (USA) has formulated a highly effective system to protect and enhance pneumatic tires. By creating an advanced fluid fiber matrix, designed to coat the inner surface of the wheel and tire, Ultraseal has progressed far beyond the limits of conventional and often temporary liquid puncture sealants. Easily installed through the tire’s valve the Ultrasealing process begins. It is quickly dispersed by the tire’s rotation, forming a uniform and consistent coating that clings to the inner surfaces of the wheel and tire.

The fluid is unique in that it is a matrix of liquid, fiber and rubber particles, held together by a strong chemical bond. Pressurized air and centrifugal force within the spinning tire force the fluid into tiny pores and passageways that run throughout and between

the many layers of rubber, steel and fiber that are present in all tires. These near microscopic openings are the source of unnoticed but constant and perpetual air loss that substantially shorten a tire’s life.

Centrifugal force and a tire’s flexing action combine with heat generated by a tire’s rotation to set the fluid fiber matrix within the passageways, effectively blocking any air loss. The newly formed and virtually airtight chamber is replenished as needed by the Ultraseal coating that remains fluid. Thixogel™, a proprietary Ultraseal compound and closely held trade secret, holds the fluid fiber matrix in consistent and even suspension as it stretches and recovers, resisting the actions of centrifugal force. This property, unique to Ultraseal, is the reason that Ultraseal performs as it does.
